Afraid of being alone?

I haven't posted in a while, which could be because my exams begin next week, but to be honest I haven't started studying for them :) This week I finally built up the courage to send my University Choices. It felt like a big deal because I'm still not a hundred percent sure what I want to end up doing. Hopefully I'll figure things out! So I guess this will be a short post. I saw this video off the Postsecret website and I thought it was good. It certainly made me feel a bit warmer inside, simply because I don't like being alone.

Have to get back to filling out university applications, my physics lab, and maybe get some studying in. Hope everyone's having a good weekend :)

p.s. I got my first university offer! Thanks Laurier!

Creampuffs:)

The other day I went up to Markham to meet a friend. We ate lunch with the fam, got haircuts, and ate some more haha :).

isn't my friend's hair super long?!

We also went to this place called Beard Papa (a chain of dessert shops that are famous for their creampuffs!).

sooo yummy :)

Finally we finished the day off with Hot Pot haha, so asian. It was insane! The two of us sat down and ate for THREE HOURS STRAIGHT. Is that even possible?!

p.s. does anyone know how to work this? I've wanted to start sewing for a long time but I'm having trouble getting the machine started.

Konnichiwa こんにちは

Marc Jacobs in Japan?! For the last couple of days  has been buzzing with tweets about their adventures on the other side of the world. From what I've been reading, the new flag shop in Tokyo, Japan is a hit! There have been book signings, meet and greets, and even give aways!

(screenshot off my twitter)

Good to know that the people at MJ are encouraging young artists and creative minds! Really wish I was in Japan right now...

New Years Resolutions:

I really wonder who was the genius who made them up. Somewhere down that long long line of history, someone decided to stop and think up the great idea of New Years Resolutions. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, these are things that people think about and even jot down as things they will do/will do better for the year to come. I guess I really do like the idea, I mean it's a really good first step to actually forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do. There. At the end of your list. It's too late now; once you've written it down it means that it's real and you're going to have to try to do it. Funny how most people give up or simply forget. Kudos to the ones that stick to their guns and go through with what they've set out to do. Regardless, this year, these are my New Years Resolutions:
  1. drink more water
  2. call my grandma more often
  3. improve my average
  4. get into university
  5. work on my portfolio
  6. don't spend money recklessly
  7. try not to eat dinner too late
  8. try not to procrastinate (as much... :3)
  9. consume more dairy products
  10. try not to over eat unhealthy foods
  11. learn to be more confident and ambitious
  12. push myself to start projects
  13. think less and do more
  14. be happier with myself
  15. be positive
  16. don't be so quick to judge
  17. appreciate my family, friends and all I have
  18. ... and show them
  19. do something unexpected
That's all for now. What are your resolutions for this year?

Has anyone started the countdown until Spring Break?

I haven't posted lately because hell, life is so busy... The last couple days of winter break were intense; Christmas parties,  Boxing Day sales, New Years Eve countdown, and the last weekend before school commences. Unfortunately school started today :/ I mean it's nice to have a schedule again, but there's just so much work to do.

To Do List:
1. university applications
2. university entrance essays
3. physics test
4. art projects
5. art portfolio
6. art show planning
7. fashion show planning
8. writer's craft book to read
9. writer's craft paper
10. sports are starting soon
11. tutoring
12. etc...

Anyways, I'm going to make a longer post later, because I'm exhausted. But for now, I'll leave you with my latest obsession.

(from the internet)

I pulled this screenshot off the internet, but basically you have to move the blocks in order to get the red block out through the space on the right side. The trick is that wider boxes (<->) only move side-to-side and the longer boxes (^v) only move up and down. The game is called Unblock Me. I'm not sure if they have a computer version, but I have it as an app on my iPhone and my boyfriend has it as an app on his Xperia :) I know it looks kind of lame, but it actually gets so addicting. The best part is, whenever you beat a level you feel super super smart haha :3 So yeah, bye for now. Hopefully I'll get a post up later this week!

p.s. I'm on level 388, try and beat me? :)

I just want to be perfect.

After a tiring day of finishing a paper for my driving school (already 2 months late :S) and finding art history pictures for my sketchbook, my friend convinced me to hang out, so we got onto the bus and headed to Square One.

Without noticing, I went through the whole day without eating, so as soon as we got off the bus we walked EXTREMELY fast to Jack Astor's for dinner (which sucked... cause I usually walk superrrr slow).

By the way, have you ever noticed that the girls that work at Jack Astor's are like undercover Hooters girls? (no offense to those of you who work there). But I mean seriously, most of them have really big boobs, really big butts, wear super tight clothing, show a lot of cleavage and are super thin! It's ridiculous! On the other hand, a lot of the guys who work there are kind of dorky looking haha, then again you don't really notice the guys... (once again no offence to anyone, maybe this was just the location I was at?). Anyways, food finally showed up and it was actually really good! Which was a total improvement cause I went two weeks ago and it sucked...

mmmm I got chicken parmigiana :3

(picture off the internet)

After dinner we went to see Black Swan. Oh. My. Goodness. That movie was insane! Movies like that always scared the hell out of me! It was such a morbidly beautiful film though, not to mention the ballet scenes were amazing! (did you know Natalie Portman could dance like that?!) I think I'd have to say my favorite part was the scene where Natalie Portman is dancing the black swan's solo and she starts growing feathers. It was done INCREDIBLY well and was just so... breathtaking.

Other pictures from tonight:

I had a really yummy strawberry milkshake from Johnny Rockets :)

Do you hear that love? They're playing our song.

Earlier today I had an insane craving for dessert. At around nine o'clock my dad called to bring me home something to eat (my family owns restaurants) since I still haven't had dinner.

After eating sushi, he gave me a ride to Caffé Demetré in the AMC plaza on Winston Churchill where I had dessert with my boyfriend. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to describe how amazing it was, so here are some pictures :).

waffles with strawberries and ice cream (mine)

chocolate fudge cake (my boyfriend's)

I must say, satisfying a craving is one of the greatest feelings in the world. It was a fantastic way to finish the day and I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend it with.
